DSC01508rIt was back in London at the Ovi Good Things Trip in London, when one of the biggest Letdowns in the past few Years came into Play once again: The poor Battery Life of almost all our beloved Phones! Big Touchscreens, GPS, permanent WLAN/3G Usage for Mails/Gravity etc certainly takes its Toll. In the Case of the N97 with its new Standy Screen Widgets, this Network Usage comes even more into Play – i mean come on, how not funny is it to have Facebook, Twitter etc on the Screen and not updating regularly? How 2005 would that be!? On the Opposite, how much Progress did we get on the Battery Development? Stronger Batteries for more powerfull Devices? None. Absolutely Zero! Nokia was “kind enough” to give us at least the 1500 mAh Battery we know and love from some selected E-Series Devices, but thats pretty much it. Did it last? Not at all. See, i was unplugged the Phone at 3.30 am in the Morning before i flew over to the UK and it lasted till about 4 pm, then the battery was done, and i didn’t even do much except of above mentioned Activities, plus snapping some Pictures /w geotagging. This whole Situation is still a complete Mess and Nokia nor any other Brand doesnt give a Damn about it. So, how can you work against this ongoing Disaster? Read the rest of this entry »
