Hell at Ovi – follow the Event live HERE

We are roughly an Hour away from the Start of the big OVI Event, thats going to take place in different Parts of the World! Some lucky Bloggers are invited to the Events in person, while i’ll follow the whole thing virtually. So far it seems like that as of today, OVI Maps will be free for on-device navigation, similar to Google Maps – thanks CJ for that News! But, as Ricky Cadden over at Symbian-Guru reports: “Unfortunately, as is usual with Nokia’s Ovi announcements, it’s only halfway there – the free premium features are currently only available for 10 of Nokia’s GPS-equipped devices: the Nokia N97 Mini, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition, Nokia E52, Nokia E55, Nokia E72, Nokia 5230, Nokia 6710 Navigator, Nokia 6730 classic and Nokia X6.” Bummer.

Anyways, i just can’t imagine that all the Fuzz is just for this Announcement, so i’m hoping for more in the course of the short Event. i’ll cover this thing on twitter with the hashtag “hellatovi”, you can check the Live feed right below after the Break of this Post – hopefully for some good News! :)

Here’s how i want my OVI Ads to be!

You remember all those cool iPhone Ads, and most recently, the Droid Commercials and the totally hilarious Nexus One Videos – made me wonder where the Hell Nokia has been? Well, they’re back now with a bang and produced a VERY nice Video for the wonderful World of the OVI Store. Nowadays you just HAVE to have a cool Appearance, which keeps the Consumer watching. Above mentioned Videos did exactly that, and i’m now hoping Nokia catches up finally and turn Heads again! So without further ado, here’s the wonderful World of the OVI Store – i like this Video/Advertisement/Wake-up Call!

OVI: Something’s on the Horizon..

..and it seems like something very cool takes Place tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 21st. I do not know yet, what this is all about yet, but i don’t expect any new Devices presented. Since the whole Event is held under the OVI-Banner, i’m hoping there’s a) a major revamp of the OVI site. Share on OVI f.e. was my prefered Picture sharing source, but after a big site update, they messed everything up, so i eventually switched to Flickr. or b) there could be new Services as well. Again, i don’t know yet, what we’re about to see, so i’m excited about that. I’m trying to take off tomorrow from Work and cover the whole Event as it happens, so check back again tomorrow. When? look below ;)
